Deer Park UMC in Mission
How do we are use our time, talents & money to support
our community, both locally and globally.
If you have info that would be good to report here
please contact Cindy Saylor.
* Meet Christoph & Lanette Meister, they are the other missionaries we support. They are also the daughter & son-in-law of Stella Konze. Christoph, Lanette and daughter Lydia are currently stationed in Switzerland. Christoph & Lanette work for OMF. OMF is a global community of Christians with a heart for East Asians. Through word and deed, they are committed to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ among East Asians. Through God’s grace, indigenous biblical church and missionary movements are growing among all the peoples of East Asia. Over the next couple of weeks more info will be shared about OMF and the Meister’s work. To support the Meister’s in their mission, you can make a donation, mark it MISSIONARY. Procedure for Safeguarding the Church
by Locking Doors
Background In light of recent incidents involving mass shootings that have affected various aspects of daily life, it has become necessary to take additional safety precautions within our church community. These measures are intended to provide greater protection
for everyone attending our services.
New Safety Procedure to begin April 12, 2026 To enhance the security of our congregation, we will begin locking the doors during service times.
1. Both side doors will be locked 5 minutes prior to the start of each service.
2. The front door will be locked 10 minutes after the start of each service.
3. All doors will be unlocked after the conclusion of each service and remain unlocked until the start of the next service.
4. Signs will be posted at each door explaining the new procedure.
If you have any questions, please see Pastor Lee or Bill Newcomb.

Ongoing Efforts

COFFEE & CHAT – Sign-up sheet on the door to the communion room, to supply some goodies. It does not need to be elaborate,
just something simple. This is a great fellowship ministry.
Reminder – if you sign up to make coffee, please designate someone to clean up and to make sure coffee pots are unplugged. Thanks!

BRING YOUR CAN TO CHURCH – Or box or plastic jar-of food!
Let’s keep the grocery cart full with our donations for Carroll County Food Sunday. Thanks for reaching out to our neighbors in need.
