Volunteer’s are welcome and we offer Student Service Hours.

2023 VBS – Hero Hotline, June 19-23, 6-8:15pm (in-person)

In the depths of a colorful underground cave, is the beating heart of the hero community, the Hero Hotline Headquarters where everyone’s gifts are valued, and every hero has a role to play. Each day at the Hero Hotline Headquarters, superheroes of all ages and abilities answer the call and join the Professor and veteran hero, Super Meer the Meerkat, to provide expert assistance and solutions to Hero Teams everywhere.

As kids (called Heroes) experience these stories through music, storytelling, and arts and crafts, they’ll learn that Heroes are called to Follow Jesus, Help Others, Work Together, Listen to God, and Show Grace!

2022 VBS – Knights of North Castle, June 20-24, 6-8:15pm (in-person)

2021 Virtual VBS, Discovery on Adventure Island
Monday-Friday (June 21-25) We didn’t let the pandemic stop us from having a great week of virtual vacation bible school fellowship!  Check out all the fun here below (also available here: DPUMC VBS 2021.pptx)

From a whimsical lighthouse on an enchanted island, Explorers are guided by a Lighthouse Keeper and Beacon the Puffin on an exciting quest to find five mysterious Infinity Lanterns to help light their way. Using coordinates from the Reference Book (the Bible), children discover clues to finding each Lantern while learning how God’s light shines in the lives of familiar biblical characters in Old and New Testament stories. Theme Bible Verse: “Arise! Shine! Your light has come; the LORD’S glory has shone upon you!” Isaiah 60:1

2019 VBS, To Mars and Beyond
Monday – Friday (June 24-28). “To Mars and Beyond” where children explore where god’s power can take you. Galaxy voyagers journey from their galactic outpost on special missions to collect power sources. Along the way, they’ll learn how God walked with heroes of the Bible, and that God is always with them, too. Theme Bible Verse: “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20
