You are invited to celebrate the joy of the resurrection with laughter and fun!

Many American churches have resurrected an old Easter custom begun in the early centuries of Christianity: “Bright Sunday” was a laughter-filled celebration of Jesus’ resurrection on the Sunday after Easter. The custom was rooted in the musings of early church theologians that God played a practical joke on the devil by raising Jesus from the dead.

Deer Park UMC continues the tradition (two weeks after Easter) this year with the theme “Don’t miss the boat!” Think Noah…Ark…Rainbow…
